Annual Budget
Annual Budget is the procedure by which 80% of the SG funds are allocated. If your organization wishes to apply for funds for the 2009-2010 school year, your certified treasurer and/or must attend the Organization Budget Orientation Meeting on January 20, 2009 at 8:00pm in Student Union Auditorium (movie theater).
How to apply for funding?
- Become a recognized student organization;
- Designate a certified treasurer for your organization;
- Read, study, and understand Title V of the Student Code;
- Read Title V for Dummies as a supplement to, not a substitution for, Title V
- Fill out the Subsequent Funding request form (you will have to enter your onyen and password). Ignore all security/certificate warning and errors. Depending on your browser, you may need to add an exception to your security settings. No hard copies will be accepted.
- Appear before the Finance Committe to present your request. You will be notified of the place and time (usually within 2 weeks) by the Finance Committee Chair.
- Appear before the Congress to present your request. Usually one week after the Finance Committee meeting.

Note
- Organizations without a certified treasurer, or those without official UNC recognition, are not eligible for SG funding -- the request will be automatically withdrawn if your treasurer is not certified, or organization is not officially recognized, by the time you appear before the Finance Committee.
- If you fail to appear before either the Finance Committee or the Congress -- the request will be automatically withdrawn. You may re-submit it for the next cycle.
