Student Affairs Committee

Our Job

The Student Affairs Committee (SAC) is the voice of the student body to the University administration, town of Chapel Hill, the state, and country. SAC is where your needs and expressions become official resolutions that are delivered to the outside world. SAC also conducts the approval process for many executive branch appointments to various student government positions. And this year, SAC is going to do even more.

Public Hearings

Get ready because SAC will be hosting a series of investigative public hearings throughout the 2009-2010 year. These hearings will be held in accordance with the Student Code and the authority vested in SAC to investigate any issues that matter to students. This is your chance to come be heard.

Be Loud, Be Proud

Take pride in the fact that you have a committee full of your friends and classmates that is dedicated to you and your needs. We will take action when we can. But when we do not have the power, we will give you the biggest and loudest megaphone possible so that you will be heard. The squeaky hinge gets the oil!

Meetings

  • SAC will meet in Murphey 302 at 6:30PM unless otherwise specified.
